While we are working on getting personalized speaking parts to the children, we wanted to give you the list of songs to practice in your home. These songs bring a peaceful atmosphere into your home, and they emphasized doctrines the children learn in class.

A weekly Gathering Place for YSAs in Springville has been established and we ask that you extend a personal invitation to all graduating seniors and all other YSAs in your ward boundary to attend the Gathering Place.

A Gathering Place is a space where young single adults can participate in uplifting activities and experiences that strengthen connections with one another and with the Lord. For now, it consists of Institute classes and a dinner every Thursday night. The Gathering Place is held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 50 N Main Street in Springville. Establishing a YSA Gathering Place

When: every Tuesday evening at 21:00 (9pm)

Preparing Your Home for Fall

Fall is here. A good time to get in the mood for college football. High school football. And beautiful Fall colors. Also a good time to so some maintenance both inside and outside of the house for colder weather.

Exterior Maintenance

• Clean gutters and downspouts to prevent ice dams and water damage.

• Inspect the roof for missing or damaged shingles; repair as needed to prevent leaks.

• Rake leaves, aerate, and fertilize the lawn; trim back trees and shrubs near the roof.

• Winterize the sprinkler system by blowing out water lines and draining outdoor faucets before the first freeze.

• Store or cover patio furniture and lawn equipment.

• Water seal decks as necessary.

• Seal gaps and cracks around windows, doors, and siding to prevent drafts and heat loss.

• Stock up on winter supplies (ice melt, snow shovels, filters) before the first snow arrives.

Interior Maintenance

• Consider having your furnace serviced. At least replace the air filter and test your thermostat.

• Consider getting a chimney sweep to Inspect your fireplace and chimney. If it’s a gas one, check the seals and the pilot light.

• Insulate exposed pipes in unheated areas.

• Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors; replace batteries where needed.
