There is a Multi-Stake Youth Olympic Fireside on Sunday, 2025 May 04 at 18:00 (6pm) at the chapel located at 350 N 400 E (the brown chapel just down the road).
The fireside will be featuring Olympic athlete, Clayton Young, who is in our stake and Whittni Morgan, who is in the stake we are partnering with. This fireside is geared toward youth, but anyone is welcome to attend. This should be a super fun and interesting fireside; and a cool opportunity to hear their stories and be in the presence of Olympic athletes who reside right here in Springville!
Refreshments will be served :)
Empty Nesters’ Family Home Evening will be held May 12th, 7:00 pm, at the Baxter’s home, 798 N 475 E.
Starting June 08, our ward lemonade socials will resume. They will take place on the second Sunday of each month. If you are interested in hosting, please use this link below. Thanks for volunteering.
In our third and final segment of, “What does Family History Look Like to you,” I thought we would look at what our Prophet Russell M Nelson has stated regarding The Gathering of Israel, Temple and Family History Work: He said in a talk with the youth June 3, 2018, “The Lord is hastening His work to gather Israel. That gathering is the most important thing taking place on earth today. Nothing else compares in magnitude, nothing else compares in importance, nothing else compares in majesty.” President Nelson then states:
“Anytime you do anything that helps anyone on either side of the veil take a step toward making covenants with God and receiving their essential baptismal and temple ordinances, you are helping to gather Israel. It is as simple as that.”
We can start in our own families and consciously participate in the many ways Family History may look to us and our families as well as supporting each other in our ward family and ministering to those around us.
We as a Temple and Family History Committee invite you to our WARD TEMPLE NIGHT, APRIL 29TH FOR THE 8:00 P.M. SESSION. PLEASE JOIN US AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS WITH THE TEMPLE. RIDES WILL BE PROVIDED IF NEEDED AND WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
Also, the Family Search Library in Springville is a wonderful resource for classes and research help. Below is this month’s calendar with some interesting classes on how AI is helping make research faster and easier.
